I graduated cum laude from Harvard College with a BA in English Literature, and received an MSW from New York University. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for years as both a teacher and tutor in elementary through college settings, and am particularly familiar with the pressures faced by students and families in a city as intense as New York. I also have a post-graduate diploma in acting from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in England.

My theoretical orientation is primarily psychodynamic with an emphasis on relational psychoanalytic thinking. I also incorporate some cognitive behavioral and mindfulness strategies as needed.
